12 WEEKS!!!
Tomorrow marks 12 weeks! Twelve weeks I have been drinking apple cider vinegar with water. Twelve weeks of strict keto meals, mostly pork shoulder steaks or hamburger, sometimes with actual keto allowed vegetables.
As I stated early on in this blog, I would not be depending on the scales to measure progress. And indeed, I have not even seen any scales since before I started this.
Weight loss often shows up first in the face. For me, this is true. So below, you have two photos of me. One was taken in January of 2017, so almost two years ago. I was diagnosed diabetic in August of 2017. After a year following a partially strict keto diet, and now these past 12 weeks of strict keto, today's picture shows a definite change.
So, that is pretty dramatic, in my opinion. It also looks like autophagy is working as well. Maybe when I reach my goal in this food lifestyle, there won't be the big hanging skin under my chin after all. One can hope.
The rest of my body is so large that I am not sure of the visual progress. Things are indeed shifting, and clothing is hanging looser. I may try a photo or two on Monday to end the year with.

WoW!!!! Trying to stick to the Keto as well, but hard to do with Tom. He NEEDS the Carbs to keep him working. I have reduced a LOT of Potatoes and Bread...eating meat..no bread, and eating only a SMALL amount of potatoes. I wouldn't eat them at all, but I am weak...LOL. Maintaining my sugar level as far as I know. Haven't been able to get a hold of the doctor to get scripts for tests strips, and just realized last night I am out of my Metforman(sp). Can't get it until maybe Tues. So really cutting back as much as I can. You are doing GREAT...so proud of you for sticking to this. Probably easier for you as you don't really have to cook for anyone but you. If I didn't have Tom, I would be eating only meat and some veggies. LOL.
